What Is Life?

-a poem-

What is life but a flicker of light?

a blink of an eye in endless time

What is life but fighters fighting the fight?

a battle waging outside reason and rhyme

What is life but a wondrous miracle?

a series of moments, each one a gift

What is life but a story so invisible?

a tale not understood until its gone so swift

What is life but a blessing we let pass by?

a treasure taken for granted

What is life but praise we turn into sighs?

a new opportunity, yet each day I ranted

What is life but the presence of heaven on earth?

a precious package in need of tender loving care

What is life but the presence of joy even before birth?

a soul society would slaughter so unfair

What is life but something to safeguard?

a chance to choose Him who chose you

What is life but something we too often discard?

a choice that is made by too few

what is life but a kingdom mission?

our one chance to obey His great commission

Don’t let this life pass you by

Stop, look around, tell someone “hi”

For in this life our days are numbered,

only so many left ‘till we fall into slumber

What is this life but a flicker of light eternal?

Carpe Diem; Seize the Day

Your decision here could be terminal

And the judgement throne isn’t all that far away

“What will you do with your one wild and precious life?”
